This Year’s Cohort at a Glance

This year, the programme opened with the Future Vision competition, a creative alternative to a traditional application. Students were invited to share a vision of their future, both personal and through a creative medium of their choice. Some submitted short films and illustrations, while others chose to express their creative visions through campaign mock-ups and mood boards. Each providing a unique insight into their aspirations in branding, communication, and design.

With nine team members from five departments collaborating to deliver our most comprehensive program yet, students spent a day immersed in each area of the business. Beginning with Client Services, where they developed their own TMC sub-brand, gaining valuable experience in project management. Speaking on her favourite part of the programme, Rebecca said:

“I really enjoyed building the brand, especially designing our physical logo yesterday was interesting. I also enjoyed the budgeting task we did on day one.”

After spending a day with our Client Services team, the students join Studio where they began developing a brand mood board, designing their logo and creating their brand guidelines, allowing them to see just how much hard work goes into creating the beginnings of a brand and how integral these parts of a brands conception they are.

Mid-week focuses on 3D design and podcasting skills, where students are given the opportunity to develop their video editing skills with the help of TMC Videographer, Kate Lightfoot. Taking a step into the PR component of marketing, the students spend day four learning how to carry out a competitor media analysis, drafting a press release and tracking press coverage.

An element of the program that has proven to be popular among the students is graphic and 3D design. In this part of their time at TMC, students are given the chance to produce a 3D advert for their chosen sub-brand, with the help of our Senior 3D Artist, Laura Durham-Turvey.

When asked about their time and the working environment at TMC, Future Vision 2025 students Rebecca and Oliver commented:

“The people are lovely, the atmosphere is very welcoming. It’s definitely a place I would recommend.”

-Rebecca

“The team share their experience to help push you to be the best you could possibly be in this field and I think it’s very beneficial”

Oliver

Their journey concluded with the Marketing team, where they refined their content planning and creation skills, using our office space as their set.

Our Impact Over Time

Since 2022, TMC has welcomed twenty-two students from four local schools, providing them with opportunities to develop their skills. Future Vision is a true team effort, with every member of TMC contributing; from designing the program to supporting students throughout their experience, it’s a project we are proud of and one we are continually striving to enhance.

Future Vision alumni, Sophia Adu-Gyamfi, credits her time at TMC for her choice to study Graphic Design at University:

“I wanted to study something creative at university but I wasn’t sure what avenue to pursue. Completing the programme is what inspired me to study Graphic Design, as it allows me to be creative, in a functional way”

Looking to the Future

Since its launch in 2022, this program has been on a journey of constant evolution, shaped by the talent, creativity, and energy of those who’ve taken part. Each year has brought new ideas, fresh perspectives, and bigger ambitions.

In 2026, we’ll continue to champion creative minds in our local community, giving them not just agency skills, but the confidence and experience to thrive in a fast-moving industry. As the marketing landscape shifts, so too will this program; Introducing new projects, refining our approach, and ensuring our students are always prepared for what comes next.
