As we look back on International Trade Week 2024 and the year draws to a close, we pause for a moment’s reflection and consider how winning the King’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category in April 2023 marked a defining milestone for TMC.

This prestigious accolade awarded for outstanding achievement by UK businesses was more than recognition; it validated our commitment to delivering innovative, impactful marketing solutions on a global scale. It has helped shaped our year, strengthened our purpose, and propelled us forward towards new objectives.

A new space for a thriving team

 At the same time as marking International Trade Week and attending key events in the Denmark, November 2023 saw the team settling into our spectacular new premises, a space meticulously designed to meet our agency and client needs. Tailored for collaboration and creativity, our new home has not only elevated our day-to-day operations but has also nurtured the vibrant culture that defines TMC.

It’s a place where clients, partners, and our team feel both inspired and valued – an environment that fuels our drive to deliver the very best.

An evening of pride and celebration

 Aligning with our anniversary month, receiving the physical King’s Award was an achievement we celebrated with the ceremony it deserved. Gathered with our team, we enjoyed drinks and canapés before the official presentation by Lady Redmond MBE, the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire. To accept the grant of appointment from HM King Charles III was a moment of immense pride and inspiration.

This event wasn’t only a celebration of our achievements but a reminder of the responsibility we carry to uphold our standards of excellence and continue setting new benchmarks in international trade.

Celebrating TMC’s 18th birthday

With a new setting, February saw TMC celebrate 18 years of growth, resilience, and innovation. From our early days as a fledgling agency to our current position as an award-winning industry leader, this anniversary was a chance to reflect on how far we’ve come.

Each year has added to the legacy we continue to build, and this milestone was a proud reminder of the dedication and teamwork that has shaped TMC’s journey.

Awarded for excellence in trade and achievement

Continuing the celebrations, we were honoured at the East Cheshire Chamber of Commerce Awards, winning the Export & International Trade Award as well as a Special Achievement Award. These moments reinforce the impact of our work within both the local and global arenas, demonstrating the value we bring to our clients and our community.

 

Expanding our reach across Europe

To strengthen our presence within international markets, TMC has actively maintained a presence at some of Europe’s largest medical congresses and professional gatherings throughout the year.

From ESC Congress in London and EUSOBI in Lisbon to ECR in Copenhagen and ESMO in Barcelona, we’ve ensured that TMC is where the industry’s most important conversations are happening. These events have allowed us to deepen our insights, connect with leading experts, and bring innovative, on-the-ground strategies directly to our clients, reinforcing our position at the cutting edge of healthcare marketing.

This year, we’ve also expanded our partnerships with European medical societies, developing initiatives that drive meaningful change in healthcare. Beyond this audience, we’re proud to have launched impactful collaborations with the public sector, with campaigns focused on national behavioural change and upskilling local economies – projects that embody our commitment to sustainable growth and lasting impact.

Investing in future talent

Nurturing the next generation of talent is a core value at TMC, and our Future Vision work experience programme is a testament to this commitment. This summer, we welcomed six ambitious students, each bringing fresh energy and perspective to the team.

Providing young talent with real-world experience is something we’re passionate about, and we’re excited to see where their journeys take them – hopefully, they’ll inspire others as much as they’ve inspired us and pursue the creative disciplines they enjoyed whilst with us!

Milestones of achievement: 10,000 jobs and 10 years of professional excellence

We’ve also celebrated other key achievements over the past 12 months, including recording our 10,000th job in our CRM – a powerful indicator of TMC’s sustained growth and the trust our clients place in us.

Our CEO, Tim, marked a personal milestone too, celebrating his 10-year anniversary as a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

“Earlier this year I was informed that I am (10 years on) still qualified and recognised by the CIM at their highest level FCIM, Chartered Marketer. We have 3 Chartered Marketers in TMC Strategic Communications as well as 4 other colleagues working towards the qualification. I am lucky enough to work with an amazing team of qualified and talented individuals. We have won some awards along the way and even been honoured with The Kings Award for Enterprise. It’s not often I look backwards along my journey, but today, just a quick glance and moment to think. Wow! 10 years…”

Enhancing our full-service provision

As we moved into the autumn, a standout development was the acquisition of Calvin PR, a strategic addition that brought nine talented PR professionals into the TMC team. Their expertise has broadened our service offering, allowing us to deliver a seamless, fully integrated experience to clients.

The addition of this team has significantly strengthened TMC’s media and public relations expertise complimenting and enhancing our strategic marketing approach. The PR team bring with them long-established relationships with global organisations such as Home Instead, one of the largest international providers of in-home care.
