At TMC, we believe in nurturing creativity, championing fresh perspectives, and investing in the next generation of marketing minds. That’s why we created our Future Vision Programme, designed specifically for Year 10–13 students with a passion for creativity and a curiosity for the marketing world.
From the very beginning, we wanted the experience to be more than just a week of shadowing. We asked ourselves: How can we make this meaningful for the students? The answer came in the form of a simple but powerful concept: Future Vision.
The Start of Future Vision
The launch of the programme started with a creative entry challenge: the Future Vision competition. Instead of a traditional form or a CV, we invited students to show us their vision of the future: their future through a unique lens.
This physical and symbolic frame encouraged students to explore and express where they saw themselves going, what they wanted to create, and how they imagined their role in the world of branding, communication, and design. Some submitted films, others submitted illustrations, campaign mockups, moodboards, or photographs. All showing an insight into their imagination.

Why It Matters
Future Vision gave us more than a selection tool, it gave us insight into what drives young creative thinkers today. It also gave them a voice, before they even walked through our doors. This allowed us to tailor their time at TMC to reflect their ambitions and interests, making the work experience programme not just educational, but personally valuable.
From copywriting to campaign strategy, and from content creation to branding workshops, each student’s experience was designed to reflect the unique path they envisioned for themselves and help them build the skills needed to pursue that path.
The programme has already helped inspire and shape the path of current students. When asked about her experience of the Future Vision programme former Congleton High School student, Sophia Adu-Gyamfi, said:
“Before I did my work experience with TMC, I knew I wanted to study something creative at University but I wasn’t sure what avenue to pursue. Completing the programme is what inspired me to study Graphic Design, as it allows me to be creative, in a functional way”.
Since completing the programme in July 2022, Sophia has returned to TMC as a design intern during her summer break from university. Working on a variety of projects, Sophia has gained valuable experience that will shape her future career.
Looking Ahead
As the programme evolves, the Future Vision concept remains at its heart. At TMC, we believe that work experience shouldn’t just be about observing, but about discovering potential, building confidence, and helping young creatives take their first steps into their careers.
After all, the future of marketing isn’t just something we respond to, it’s something we help shape. And there’s no better way to do that than by empowering the next generation.
