The Congleton community has been speculating about the future of a well-known building on the High Street, and we can now share that the space which once served residents and visitors as B&M and Woolworths is being converted into a hub of creative activity. The TMC team will soon be resident in the centre of town.
Owned by by Tim and Jan McCloud (CEO and COO of TMC Creative Ltd), planning and development is underway, with ambitious plans for the regeneration of this historic building. Enlisting the help of local contractors and suppliers, we’re delighted to share how TMC is going to form the next part of this building’s story and bring new life into the centre of Congleton.
Not only will the office provide the TMC team with an inspiring new workplace and easy access to the growing number of businesses on the High Street, but it has been carefully designed with the aim of accommodating flexible workspaces. This co-working space will create a professional base for local businesses and entrepreneurs, allowing for networking opportunities and shared learning.
What are the next steps?
There has been a wealth of activity happening behind the scenes, following planning permission being submitted in early June 2022. Our team have been working alongside local organisations to refine the plans and in prioritising surveys and safety checks.
With planning permission now granted, the real work can begin and we’re excited to see how the innovative build comes to life.
We’ll be documenting progress through social media and our website. Bookmark our Future Office page to stay up to date!
