Dr Jan McCloud Ph.D, BSc.Healthcare Director
Jan leads TMC’s healthcare specialism, combining scientific expertise with more than 20 years’ experience across medical writing, clinical operations and global communications.
A member of TMC’s leadership team since 2008, Jan works closely with pharmaceutical, diagnostics and medical society clients to translate complex evidence into communications that are accurate, relevant and useful to specialist audiences. Her experience includes work with organisations such as Hologic, EONS, ESC and ESMO, alongside earlier collaborations involving Pfizer and Novartis.
Jan holds a first-class honours degree, PhD and Postdoctoral Fellowship in Neurophysiology. She previously lectured at the University of Glasgow, giving her a rare ability to connect scientific rigour with clear communication and commercial understanding.
