Development of a digital environment to enhance brand discovery and increase education into vertically farmed produce, providing the ideal resource for sustainability-minded consumers, prospective suppliers, and investors.

Having established a reputation as a trusted provider of vertically grown leaves, with produce sold under white label in major high street supermarkets such as Marks and Spencer, Perfectly Fresh! have become keen to develop their own unique customer-facing identity as they expand their routes to market.

With this development in branding, their acquisition channels required a similar refresh to provide their audience with consistent, omnichannel content. Having worked collaboratively with Perfectly Fresh! over a number of years, TMC undertook the digital project with key stakeholders to develop a resource that would engage and inspire all.

Our Solution

Initial client workshops focused on bringing a vibrant new identity to the website and the latest digital functionality, aligning with the contemporary and dynamic service provided by the client. This would also incorporate essences of the umbrella brand, Oragen Group, reinforcing key messaging for an investor or supplier audience.

A key consideration throughout the build was the future development and growth beyond the initial launch. With the project’s technical requirement including complex animation and interaction, a bespoke editor within the WordPress CMS was critical. This would allow for changes to text and information across the site for later additions and SEO optimisation.

An initial sitemap was created, formed from the understanding of the user journey and the routes the client wished users to take as part of their product discovery. Once into the building stage, for this to be fluid, scroll snapping was added to ease navigation and give the clean and modern look required to accurately reflect the business. The ‘Our Story’ included an interactive scrollable timeline, made engaging for target audiences to buy into the incredible journey the brand had been on.

Energised by animation

Animations were a key requirement within the digital platform, to cultivate an energetic and fresh look and ensure a memorable device-agnostic experience. With the use of GSAP, bespoke elements were added which moved in sync with the user scroll. This was complemented by SEO and user optimisation, ensuring that all functionality underwent testing to provide the best experience on-site.

A final touch was added through an on-site video created using drone footage and pan shots, giving insight into the life-cycle of the growing process. The video would be embedded onto the homepage to provide a visual overview of the products use and how customers and suppliers could benefit from it.
